I Told You So!

After 18 days or so in office for the new Obama administration, I thought about how things were working out so far in contrast to the pre-election talk we all heard last year. After examining just a few of Obama's quotes over the past few years, I came to the conclusion that most of YOU were duped. I can not stress enough, the importance of being not only informed but possessing personal knowledge and definitely gut knowledge; something you know in your gut is either right or wrong.
Let's take a look at some of Obama's notable quotes and what we have seen so far:
Change doesn't come from Washington. Change comes to Washington.
BARACK OBAMA, DNC speech, Aug. 28, 2008
With the bunch of cabinet posts that have been made by Obama, I fail to see how any change has come to Washington at all. Same ole liberal agenda, lies and spending.
[The] issues are never simple. One thing I’m proud of is that very rarely will you hear me simplify the issues.
BARACK OBAMA, MSNBC interview, Sep 25, 2006
I am not sure how your recent statement about inheriting this economy fits into this one. It is not like you just woke up this morning and realized the economic problem. Heck, you have been talking about how you would fix the economy for two years now! You seemed to be in a hurry to get this economic porkulus package out; that was simplifying an issue if I ever saw it. Simplfying the economic problem we have now to the point that it must be a plan within days is ridiculous.
I don't want to pit Red America against Blue America. I want to be President of the United States of America.
BARACK OBAMA, speech, Nov. 10, 2007
Good luck with this one; let me know how it turns out for you!
What Washington needs is adult supervision.
BARACK OBAMA, fundraising letter, Oct. 2006
We lost this on January 19, 2009. Just look at how Nancy Pelosi is leading Obama by the ring in his nose she had implanted. A nation led by Pelosi is even worse than Obama. Stay tuned to this fiasco!
If the people cannot trust their government to do the job for which it exists - to protect them and to promote their common welfare - all else is lost.
BARACK OBAMA, speech, Aug. 28, 2006
Excuse me sir, you just chose three people who do not pay their taxes to lead certain departments of our government not to mention you are all for giving freedom to terrorists who were a part of the USS Cole bombing. Not a good start and contradictory yet again.
The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity, on the ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart -- not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good. BARACK OBAMA, Inaugural Address, Jan. 20. 2009
Did you get those last two words? Common good! The beginning of socialism for the United States of America.
Faith doesn't mean that you don't have doubts.BARACK OBAMA, speech, Jun. 28, 2006
What? Maybe in whatever your religion but not in mine. If you are talking about having faith in Man then yes.
In a country of 300 million people, there is a certain degree of audacity required for anybody to say, "I'm the best person to lead this country."
BARACK OBAMA, Washington Post, Nov. 18, 2006
On February 4, 2009, Pelosi stated that "500 million people will lose their jobs each month until we have an economic package." Is she counting the unborn that she already took care of eliminating with her planned parenthood and the money that Obama sent overseas to pro-abortion groups? Wow, they can really plan ahead with this whole social engineering, population control thing, can't they?
As you can see, I listed only a small number of Obama quotes and already after 18 days you can see that some of YOU made a huge error on November 4. Stay tuned because there will be much more. Trust me!

  1. Nice piece, Redstatesman! You're right, some of America was duped, unfortunately some of us weren't and knew it all along that this would be a disaster.
